Intel® PROSet provides you with two types of diagnostic tests.
Diagnostic tests provide you with a basic analysis of adapter health. When running basic diagnostic tests, Intel PROSet checks for I/O conflicts, memory faults, EEPROM operability, transmit and receive functionality, and link.
The Cable test provides information about cable length and polarity. Other cable properties are provided for PRO/1000 adapters.
Test results appear in Intel PROSet.
