Identify Adapter

The Identify Adapter feature enables you to identify the physical adapter from the back of the computer.

For example, if you have two adapters installed, you can select an adapter from the Network Component Tree and then click the Identify Adapter button. The selected adapter's bracket LED blinks.

NOTE: procfgd blocks all other network configuration while the blink operation is running.

To verify adapter position:

1. Click the General tab.

2. Click Identify Adapter.

3. Move the slider to select the number of seconds the LED should blink. The default value is 10 seconds.

4. Click Start.

The LED for the selected adapter blinks for the specified duration.
