Restore Intel® PROSet configuration from a saved file

If you have saved an adapter's advanced settings to a file, you can use the file to restore custom VLAN and teaming settings.

Before you begin

When you restore settings, settings must be restored on the same computer they were created from. In addition, the computer must have the same network and hardware installed as the original saved configuration. For example, if the computer was connected to an Intel gigabit switch at the time when the configuration file was saved, the computer must be connected to the same switch when the configuration is restored.

To restore adapter settings from a saved file:

  1. From the Tools menu, click Save/Restore Configuration.
    The Save/Restore dialog box appears.

  2. Click Restore.
    The Open dialog box appears.

  3. Browse to the folder where you saved your configuration file and select the file.

  4. Click Open.
Intel PROSet displays the restored settings. These settings are not applied until you click OK.

NOTE: Restoring an Intel PROSet configuration does not restore operating system-specific network settings such as an IP address or bound protocols.
